April 2026

Boris......
'Boris' was rescued on April 14th from a garden in Cleveleys after he was seen to be sheltering underneath a plank of wood with no sign of any nest material which was a bit odd. This lad is HUGE which again is a bit odd. This time of the year hedgehogs are coming out of hibernation and have generally lost weight. Anyway, he is in for a quick MOT and then he can go for release as I can find nothing wrong with him.
UPDATE: Now released.

Margery......
This is 'Margery' rescued after an attack by two dogs in a garden in Thornton. Luckily no obvious injuries done to her but will stay for a few days and be monitored closely before she can be released into a safe area.

Skippy......
Picked up out of the road on Skippool Road this on 27th April. How the heavy traffic missed her is a miracle, this is one very lucky hedgehog. 'Skippy' is very poorly, hypothermic, dehydrated and full of fly eggs. Fly eggs removed, warm sub cut fluids given and is now recovering on a heat mat.
