Over the years we have cared for hundreds of hedgehogs and have many stories to tell. Some have been happy, some sad and some have been hilariously funny. Here are just a few of those stories.
'Maisie'
This is Maisie, brought to us from the Arnside area of the Lake District. She was suffering from a severe skin condition caused by ringworm and mites which made most of her prickles and fur fall out. Her little body was covered in scabs and sores—she looked a sorry sight. She endured weeks of treatment which she tolerated well. Over time, Maisie grew back most of her prickles and fur.
